Katie Gerardine O’Neill is a multidisciplinary artist from Dublin, Ireland. O’Neill is known for her experimental sound art and music, film work, performance art, painting, and photography. O’Neill is a socially engaged artist who was a photographer on the X-ile Project, a media campaign influential in repealing the 8th. O’Neill’s work often embraces the marriage of analogue and niche mediums such as cassette tape, reel to reel, and vinyl players, and emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, and apps. O’Neill has a keen interest in performance art, theatre, literature, and activism, all which form aspects of her immersive live performances. She has recently been commissioned by New Music Dublin, EVA International, and Open Ear. O’Neill curated a night of underground art of music and performance in Anseo and also regularly collaborated with Little Gem. She is deeply engaged with the Dublin underground music and art scene. and is an active contributor to its emerging community of cultural activism and expression. She recently performed a live score to her 8mm film at Phase Studios.
